Internship (d/f/m) within media team as 3D CATIA V5 Helicopter Assembly Specialist
Are you an enthusiastic engineering student at the beginning of your academic journey, eager to get hands-on with cutting-edge aerospace projects in a dynamic media environment? Airbus Helicopters is looking for a proactive intern (d/f/m) to join our Media Team and bring our stunning aircraft to life in 3D.

Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities
-
Utilizing CATIA V5 to create complete 3D assemblies of various helicopter models (approx. 4 distinct types) using pre-existing digital part data.

Navigating and managing large CAD datasets from our engineering database.

Ensuring precise alignment and logical assembly of components for realistic representation in the future.

Collaborating closely with the Media Team to prepare the complete 3D models.

Developing a strong understanding of helicopter structure and component interdependencies from an assembly perspective.
Desired skills and qualifications
-
Current university student in the early stages of an Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical degree.

Exceptional proficiency in CATIA V5 is a must. You should be highly skilled in Assembly Design modules, with a keen eye for detail and spatial understanding.

Familiarity with managing large CAD datasets.

A strong desire to learn and contribute to visually impactful projects.

Good technical understanding of how mechanical components fit together.

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a creative team.

Good communication skills in English.
