Definition working student
Working students are students who are enrolled at a University or some other institution of higher education, and who are employed in a reasonably long, fixed-term position parallel to their studies. This position must not be confused with an internship or with the possibility of writing a final thesis.
This employment usually takes place directly on the company's premises. A working student's main focus remains on their studies, which is why, during term-time, working students are not allowed to work more than 20 hours per week.
Working students therefore usually work near their place of study, so as to conveniently combine studying and employment.
Your location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Increase the level of automation and enhance the user interface of our current performance dashboards.
-
Explore and propose software solutions to manage daily operations in collaboration with our teams in the shop floor and in the commercial areas.

Develop a small tool to forecast airlines material needs in order to mitigate electronics products obsolescence.

Support the preparation, classification and update of technical documentation for aircraft maintenance and customer training.
Deliverables:

Documentation and archiving of all activities associated with your tasks: user guides, commented code, archived documents, management of changes, workflows definition, etc. Handover

Business requirements will be provided by our experts (not a deliverable)

Software solutions in one of the Airbus data platforms.
Desired skills and qualifications

Enrolled full-time student in the area of Electronics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field of study.

Practical experience in the field of coding and scripting is needed.

Fluent in German and English.

Different coding languages can be used: Javascript, G-Script, Python, SQL, Pyspark, …
