TATU Project is a non-profit organization that facilitates an equal and sustainable development for the rural communities Msitu Wa Tembo and Londoto in Northern Tanzania. We address community needs and build effective solutions through collaborative participation of community members and relevant stakeholders.
Over a period of 15 years, our goal is to answer the main problem areas that the two villages face with different types and sizes of projects, tailored specifically for and with the community´s inhabitants.
"Many little people, in little places, doing little things, can change the world." - Eduardo Galeano, Uruguayan writer and journalist
We believe that change comes from the people. That is why our projects start from questioning, studying and sharing with a community and its members. The ideas we choose to give life to rely on empowering, on educating, and on securing a rich and sustainable environment.
We don´t believe in charity. We believe in solidarity.
