Editorial Intership at The Culture Trip 3 month Praktikum in Berlin

The Culture Trip’s Berlin hub is on the lookout for two talented interns to promote, co-create and shape one of our newest centres, right here in Berlin. Our interns will be classic culture vultures with varied cultural interests and a thoroughly modern mindset. We work flexibly, and we are looking for people that understand the state of modern media and how essential social media marketing is to its success. The internship will start as soon as possible, but we’re happy negotiate with the right candidate. Ideally we are looking to hire two people, full time for a period of three months, but we will also consider more candidates on a part time basis too. The positions are unpaid, but come with plenty of perks.

Your responsibilities as the Editorial Intern will include:

  • Working closely with our existing writers to secure new content on an ongoing basis
  • Research and reach out to organisations from which we can recruit new writers
  • On board new writers and guide them through their first few submissions
  • Work with the social media team to ensure that the content gets the best audience possible
  • Maintaining the integrity of the site’s content (link fixing etc)
  • Curating content for the newsletters
  • Compile contact lists
  • Create or update databases
  • In addition, the editorial intern will be asked to write new content regularly for the site and will receive close mentoring for improving their writing.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in English (other languages a plus, but German NOT necessary)
  • Creativity & attention to detail
  • Background in, Culture, Art, Literature, Communications, Marketing or Journalism
  • Social media know-how and experience (editorial and marketing positions)
