The semester is over – summer break. What to do? How to intelligently invest my time and capacity?
For this summer, I was looking for an internship that offers new things to try out and to challenge myself for professional and personal development.
My internship at Hermes Capital fulfilled these expectations in all respects. I joined a team of great people, the communication was at eye-height and right from the beginning I felt like a full team member. My work was always appreciated and I received regular feedback. I had the opportunity to meet many new and interesting people. I gained insights in their highly interesting fields of operation and had the opportunity to benefit from their spirit! My tasks ranged from preparing investors’ documents and executive summaries about current projects, over mentoring another intern, to assisting in and independently conducting hiring processes. I had the chance to attend various meetings and to join several business travels, both on a national and international level. These much diversified tasks helped me to broaden my horizon in the PE/VC and M&A field. The feedback sessions supported me in reflecting my personal development.
Lovely Zurich as the home base of Hermes Capital is a great city and offers a phenomenal work environment. If you are looking for an internship providing something different than the big corporations or the classic consulting firms, don’t hesitate and apply. :-)
The internship was a great experience and I highly recommend to join the team of Hermes Capital!
