    24 Wochen internship im Jahr 2015

    I am Amit Lokhande pursuing M.Sc. Metallurgical Engineering with Material Science of Steel as the study major at RWTH University Aachen, Germany. With this letter I would like to express my interest and request you to consider my application for an internship. As welding and joining being a field where innovations and improvements in the process and technology take place on a daily basis that’s reason why I want to begin my career with Carl Cloos Welding. I worked as Welding Engineer for the past three and a half years in Godrej Process Equipment (GPE), one of the widely known pressure vessel manufacturing company in the world which manufactures the entire range of process equipment for end-users in core industry segments like Refineries, Petrochemicals, fertilizers, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Pharmaceuticals and Power around the world. My substantial work in the project was applauded by the Head of the Department and was then given a lot of critical projects to handle on my own. In the tenure at GPE, I had handled a wide range of equipments with ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgies involving Carbon Steel (C-Mn-Si), Low Alloy Steel (1.25Cr-0.5Mo & 2.25Cr-1Mo), Austenitic Stainless Steel, Martensitic Stainless Steel, Ferritic Stainless Steel and Nickel based alloys (Inconel and Monel). In the professional career I had undergone many training programs on the latest grades of steels and their joining and coating which is used in the fabrication of equipment’s of Oil and gas and power generation sector like Cr-Mo-V steels, P91 & P92 steels (9Cr Steels) and having detailed knowledge welding process like SMAW, SAW, TIG, FCAW, MIG, ESW.I have handled many critical equipments of various petrochemical and fertilizer industries worldwide during my tenure in Godrej Process Equipment (GPE). During the course of undergraduate study, I gained a deep understanding of the subject through Manufacturing technology, Surface modification, Metal forming, Casting, Foundry technology, Powder metallurgy, coating/cladding, Heat Treatment technology(surface treatment), Materials joining. I further delved into the Metallurgy through reading of ‘Metals Handbook’ published by the American Society for Metals. I am a highly methodical, amenable, and results oriented team player. As especially important for this particular call available in your website, I would like to point out that I am Enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams, good communication and team skills. My previous working experience allowed me to master the presentation skills needed. I will be able to start the internship in April 2015 and would like to attend it for 6 months and more. I am also interested in doing my Master Thesis in your company if my professor and supervisor at RWTH University finds the topic interesting and permits me to do it. Hence, in the long run, I want to take up a position in the industry, where I can do quality research on challenging and technically demanding problems with an immediate relevance to the everyday life. I am hopeful that I would meet all your demands and I eagerly look forward to joining as an Intern in your company and hopefully having a longer and mutually profitable association with Carl Cloos Welding.
