Duration: 4-6 months
We develop and build various electrical power supply devices for satellites, probes and landing equipment. The products include power control and distribution units, motor control units, DC/DC converters, as well as high-voltage supply for ion engines or travelling wave tubes. Typical activities of the department include e.g. the definition of architectures, the development and analysis of circuits and the commissioning of modules and devices.
As part of this internship, you will have the possibility to take part in exciting projects in power electronics. There is the possibility of writing a final thesis in consultation with the specialist department in question. - Supporting the development of new system architectures for particularly small, lightweight power control units
- Collaborating on the development and analysis of electrical circuits
- Designing and testing electrical circuit patterns
- Documenting the results
- Enrolled student within Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar field of study
- Initial experience in electronics development (analogue and digital)
- Knowledge of typical software tools for circuit design/analysis
- German: advanced
- English: fluent
